Tree Plantation Drive on 18th July 2026
Rotary Club of Kadamba, in collaboration with the Deepvihar Primary School, Vasco Goa, successfully organized a tree plantation drive with the objective of promoting environmental awareness and encouraging students to contribute towards a greener future.
The programme commenced with a warm welcome extended by Teacher Lavina Almeida to the President of the Rotary Club of Kadamba Mr. Dharmanand Teli, Secretary Mr. Vishnu Langawat, and Treasurer Mr. Pankaj Gaonkar.
Teacher-in-Charge of Deepvihar Primary School, Ms. Harshada Fadte, addressed the students, teachers, and dignitaries, emphasizing the importance of tree plantation and the collective responsibility of preserving the environment for future generations.
The formal proceedings concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks proposed by Teacher Sulaksha Shetye. Thereafter, the members of the Rotary Club, teachers, and students enthusiastically participated in the plantation drive on the school playground.
A total of 25 saplings were planted during the activity. The initiative forms part of the Rotary Club of Kadamba Plateau's pledge to plant 100 trees across various schools in Goa, reinforcing its commitment to environmental conservation.
We have also assured the school that we would revisit periodically to monitor the growth and maintenance of the saplings, encouraging students to continue caring for the trees we have planted.
The tree plantation drive served as a meaningful step towards fostering environmental consciousness among young learners while strengthening the spirit of community partnership in creating a sustainable future.
